The Oroville Rescue Mission is a religious non-profit organization which serves the homeless and disadvantaged in the Oroville area and its surrounding communities.  It is affiliated with the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions.
The Oroville Rescue Mission operates a homeless shelter with 24 beds in the Men’s Shelter and 14 beds in the Women’s & Children’s Shelter.  The Mission serves three meals a day seven days a week and holds nightly chapel services.  We give out blankets and clothing to homeless and disadvantaged people who come to us for help, as well as those who come to us for a shower and a safe place to sleep.
In addition to helping the homeless, the Oroville Rescue Mission distributes food   boxes to needy families in the community.  The Rescue Mission’s New Life  Recovery  Program is a Christ - Centered discipleship program for those in recovery and transition.

Our goal is to preach Christ crucified in order to reach the lost with the good news of the Gospel.  As in the parable of the Good Samaritan, the Good Samaritan only met the physical needs of the man who was in need.  We operate under the premise that at times, all we can do is meet an individual’s physical needs and thereby prepare the way to minister to the individual’s spiritual needs.

Mission Statement:
"Hospitality without Enabling" - Oroville Rescue Ministries, Inc. is set apart by the Holy Spirit to preach the Gospel and meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs through the provision of food, shelter clothing, and counseling; and to provide structured programs for the poor, needy and those whom may be bound and bruised by addictive lifestyles throughout California.

Statement of Faith:
We believe the Bible (consisting of all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is God’s Holy Word in its entirety and in every part, inspired by the Holy Spirit.  We believe the Scriptures are accurate, infallible, and authoritative in their moral and spiritual teachings and are without error or defect of any kind.  (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe there is but one God, eternally, existing and manifesting Himself in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We believe that man was created in the image of God, holy and innocent; that man, of his own choice, sinned and as a result, brought death upon all humanity (Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23).  Those who are not saved from sin are eternally separated from God (John 3:18).

We believe there is but one God, born of a virgin, that He gave His life on the cross where He, who knew no sin, was made sin for us; that He was buried and arose again from the dead, afterward He ascended into Heaven, from whence He will come again (John 5:39; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 2:9,10 & 11).

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith, apart from works, that the sinner who repents and personally accepts the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross becomes a child of God, is made a new creature, and is indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:8 & 9; John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 14:17).

We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again for His church, to establish His kingdom on earth, to judge the wicked and the lost, cast death and hell into the Lake of Fire, and dwell with the saints forever and ever (John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 5:16 & 17; Revelation 20:6, 14 & 15; Revelation 22:1, 2, 3, 4 & 5).

We believe that through preaching, teaching and ministering, the RESCUE MINISTRY must use all its resources to teach the saving power of Jesus Christ, that they may have victory over sin, come into fellowship with God and live a Spirit Filled, fruitful life in Christ Jesus.
